The Marysville Public Library is owned and maintained by the City of Marysville. It is operated by the County as a branch of the St. Clair County Library System. As the manager of the library, I want to personally invite you and your family to stop in to the library and see all that we have to offer. If you don't already have one, we'd love to get you all signed up for a library card. If its been a while since we've seen you, come in, we'd love to show you all the updates we've made. We have expanded our collection to include Books (new releases, classics, large print, paperbacks), adult and children's magazines, books on CD and cassette, music CD's, videos, DVD's, puppets, fishing poles and Hooked on Phonics kits. The library also has a copy machine and fax machine, laminators, 10 computers with Internet access, automated card catalog and we will interloan from other libraries. The library subscribes to the Times Herald, Detroit Free Press, USA Today and Wall Street Journal. There are monthly programs for children and computer classes for adults. Story hour for 3-5 year olds is on Thursday mornings and Lap-sit for 1-3 year olds is on Friday mornings both at 10:00 A.M. We have an active 'Friends of the Library' whose purpose is to encourage and support reading in the community and to focus public attention on the library. Looking forward to seeing you soon, Vickie Hurley - Branch Manager |
