the history of C. Harold Wills and the Wills St. Claire Automobile

Wills Street, Marysville, MI 48040 |
C. Harold
Wills had a big part in the making of Marysville in the 1920's.
He left the employ of Ford Motor Company, where he had become a
millionaire, to build his own automobile, the Wills Saite Claire.
This highly engineered luxury car was 8-10 times the cost of a Ford
Model "T", and was built at a factory across from the
Park where the current Daimler-Chrysler plant is located. Many homes
were built by the company for the workman and sold through the Marysville
Land Improvement Company. Perhaps someone in your family had worked
for Wills or you live in one of the company built houses today!'
The Wills Museum
is dedicated to preserving the history of C. Harold Wills and the
Wills Sainte Claire Automobile. We currently have on display 6-8
Wills cars and much advertising and memorabilia about the Wills
cars and local history. |
